This is taking longer than usual.
How to play
- Move and aim. On a computer, move with W A S D, aim with the mouse, click to fire and hold the right mouse button to aim down the sights. On a phone, drag the left side of the screen to move and the right side to aim; your weapon fires by itself when the crosshair is on a hostile.
- Finish the mission. Take out every hostile, or on a bomb mission find the bomb and stand next to it until it is defused. The clock does not wait.
- Aim for the head. A headshot does two and a half times the damage and pays extra cash. Holding the trigger makes the weapon climb, so fire in short bursts.
- Spend your cash in the Armoury on new weapons and a Kevlar vest. What you buy is yours for good.
Keyboard
- 1–5, Q or the mouse wheel switch weapon · R reload · Esc or P pause
- No mouse? The arrow keys turn and move, Space fires and Shift aims down the sights.
Good to know
- Mouse capture: on a computer the game holds the mouse pointer while you play. Press Esc to pause and get it back.
- Five weapons: the P9 Pistol never runs out, the Viper SMG is fast, the Breacher shotgun clears doorways, the Kestrel rifle hits hard at any range and the Longbow has a scope and drops most hostiles in one shot.
- 3D graphics: the game needs WebGL, which every current browser has. On an older phone it may run slowly.
- 20 missions in four settings, against computer opponents. Every third mission is a bomb defusal.
- No gore: hostiles flash and fall over. It is still a shooting game, so it suits older children and adults.
- Sound and aim speed can be changed on the pause screen.
- Progress saves in this browser on this device. Clearing site data or using a private window starts over.
- No account needed. Just play.
ABOUT THE GAME
One operator, twenty missions, and a bomb that will not wait.
Breach Squad is a single-player first-person shooter in the spirit of classic bomb-defusal games. You go in alone through a desert town, a freight depot, a night raid and a snowed-in station. Some missions ask you to clear every hostile; others put a bomb on a timer and leave it to you whether to fight your way there or run for it. Hostiles hear gunfire, come looking, and shoot back, so cover and short bursts matter more than speed. Every hostile pays cash, and the Armoury turns that cash into better weapons and armour for the harder missions.
Tips for your next mission
- Watch the radar: a red dot is a hostile who has spotted you or is hunting you.
- Lean out from behind a crate, fire a short burst, and step back while they aim.
- On a bomb mission, check the radar for the orange dot and go straight there. You do not have to clear the map.
- Green boxes refill ammunition and white boxes heal, but only when you need them, so leave them for later.
- A lost mission still pays for its kills. If a mission feels too hard, the Viper SMG and a Kevlar vest are the best first buys.
Is Breach Squad multiplayer?
No. Every mission is against computer opponents, so it works offline once loaded and needs no account.
